Gulfport man accused of spying on public bathrooms

GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

Gulfport Police arrested a man who they say used a hidden camera secretly film people in restrooms.

Darrell Anthony Smith, 39, of Gulfport is charged with ten felony counts of photographing or filming a person with an expectation of privacy. Police said the cameras were installed in Smith's residence, and three men's restrooms at area businesses.

Many of the victims have been identified, but police are continuing their investigation.

Smith is being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center in lieu of $250,000 bond.

    Nicholas Cuevas is in police custody after Hancock County Investigator Don Bass said the man bit the tip of a deputy’s finger, almost taking the end of the finger off Wednesday.
