WAVELAND, MS (WLOX) - Accused priest killer Jeremy Manieri had a preliminary hearing Thursday morning in Waveland. We are told the murder case has been bound over to the grand jury and that Manieri confessed to the shooting.

The Reverend Ed Everitt was shot July 11th at a retreat house in Waveland where Manieri said he passed out after the two had been drinking and smoking pot. He said he woke up to find the priest fondling him. He then killed him and took off in his car.

The 31-year old was arrested two days later in Polk County, Florida where he confessed.

Manieri was sentenced July 27th to five years for a probation violation, and is being held at the state prison in Pearl.
