JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

Three Jackson County men are behind bars after their alleged involvement in a home invasion and shooting on Monday, August 15.

Jackson County Sheriff's officials reported that the three men and one juvenile kicked in the front door to a home located at 7604  Hammond Drive in Ocean Springs. Once they kicked in the door, they began shooting, then fled.

According to officers, a window was shot out in a vehicle at the scene and a bullet hole was found through the living room wall which entered into a child's room.

After a few hours, officials received information of a gunshot victim at the Emergency Room at Ocean Springs Hospital. Investigators interviewed the gunshot victim, Jonathan Gilmer, 21 whom was shot in the chest.

Investigators reported that Gilmer, Devorris Jamine Stanton, 21, Dionte Rayshawn Jones, 18 and a juvenile male apparently went to the home on Hammond Drive to steal the marijuana and money from the people who lived there.

An investigation in the home, where the shooting took place, revealed seven pounds of marijuana, Xanax and Ecstasy along with $1,300. Investigators also reported finding ten $100 counterfeit bills, all sharing the same serial numbers.

Agents with the Narcotics Task Force charged Allen Betraind Richardson, 29, whom lives at the Hammond Drive residence, with one count of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute marijuana. Richardson was also charged with possession of counterfeit bills.

With the assistance of the United States Marshall Service the following arrests were made: Jonathan Lamar Gilmer, 21 of Gautier for one count of armed robbery; Devorris Jamine Stanton, 21 of Gautier for one count of armed robbery and Dionte Rayshawn Jones, 18 of Gautier for one count of armed robbery. The fourth male robbery suspect's information was not revealed because he is not considered an adult.

All suspects are currently being held at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center pending an initial appearance in county court.
