HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - For the second time in one week, a student has been arrested at Harrison Central High School.
On Thursday, deputies were called to check out a fight at the school. During their investigation, a 16-year-old student was accused of having drugs on campus.
The teen was questioned, and deputies found several troubling items on him, including pills, a small amount of Spice, a .22 caliber bullet, and several hundred dollars in counterfeit bills. At that point, several young men were taken in for questioning.
Sheriff Melvin Brisolara said the suspect faces a felony charge of Possession of Counterfeit Instrument (money), as well as other misdemeanor charges. He was taken to the Harrison County Detention Facility, pending a hearing with Family Court.
Wednesday, another 16-year-old male student was arrested and charged with calling in a bomb threat to the school. Like Thursday's arrest, that charge is also a felony.
