GEORGE COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - George County High School is looking for a new baseball coach after the resignation of Tony Neal.
Neal tells the Mississippi Press that he resigned to concentrate on finishing coursework for his teaching certification.
Neal spent three years at George County, one as an assistant and two as head coach. The Rebels went 21-12 in 2011, reaching the Class 6A South State finals.
Neal says he will teach special education classes at Greene County High School this fall while taking college courses at night and on weekends.
A native of Grand Bay, Al, he was an assistant coach at Murphy High School in Mobile before coming to George County.
