BAY ST. LOUIS, MS (WLOX) - A 2-year-old Bay St. Louis boy is in critical, but stable condition, after being struck by a vehicle.
Police say Joshua Aisola was hit while playing outside on Shieldsborough Drive Monday night. Investigators said he darted out from behind a parked car.
The boy was flown to USA Medical Center in Mobile.
Police say they took the driver, Patrick Evans from Bay St Louis, to the hospital for blood tests. No charges have been filed yet, pending those test results.
Police are also investigating the little boy's father. Witnesses told police Joshua Aisola, Senior fired a gun into the air right after his son was hit by the car.
He turned himself in to police, admitting he fired the gun. Police haven't said yet if he'll face charges.
