VANCLEAVE, MS (WLOX) - Investigators in Jackson County arrested a Pascagoula man and a juvenile that they believe are connected to a rash of thefts in Vancleave over the past few weeks.

It started Monday when deputies were called to the scene of an accident on Jim Ramsey Road. They quickly discovered the truck involved had been stolen out of Pascagoula. It also matched the description of a truck from an earlier, attempted burglary at Fort Ramsey Store.

Two people seen running from the crash site were apprehended, and detectives say they later found stolen property at one suspect's home.

William Aaron Griffith, 20, and the juvenile are charged with Commercial Burglary and Attempted Commercial Burglary. Investigators said the arrests are in reference to the burglary of Four Corners store and the attempted burglary of Fort Ramsey Store, both located in Vancleave.

Both are also being charged with Attempted Auto theft and Commercial Burglary of a Vehicle in connection with the incident at the Four Corners store.

The investigation is ongoing. If you have any information that could help, call the Jackson County Sheriff's Department at (228) 769-3063 or CRIMESTOPPERS at 1-877-787-5898.
