Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove told WLOX News around 8:35 Thursday night, a two car accident claimed the lives of two people and sent two others to the hospital.
It happened on Highway 90 at Myrtle Avenue in front of the Isle Casino.
Hargrove said two cars were involved. Four people were in a Honda Accord and one person was in a Chevy Suburban.
71-year-old Harrietta Brockett of Covington, La, and 84-year-old Alvin Perrault Sr. of Mandeville, La, were the two lives that were lost. They were passengers in the Accord traveling east bound on Highway 90, turning onto Myrtle Avenue. Both of them were wearing their seatbelts. The driver and the other passenger in that car were taken to the hospital.
Hargrove says the driver of the Suburban was traveling west bound on Highway 90 and struck the Accord on the passenger side of the car. He sustained no injuries. His name has not been released yet.
