GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - Gulfport firefighters and police are trying to find the person who dumped several bags marked "bio-hazard waste" in a dumpster behind an East Pass Road business.
Fire Chief Michael Bayerstedt told WLOX News an employee found the three 20-gallon bags marked "bio-hazard waste," and called authorities. When the first responders opened the bags, they found it wasn't hazardous waste, just ordinary trash.
They're now trying to determine who dumped the bags there, and if it was supposed to be some type of prank, or just illegal dumping.
WLOX News will have more on the investigation later today on WLOX.com and at 11am on WLOX News MidDay.
