MOSS POINT, MS (WLOX) - According to Moss Point's police chief, Swadrian Johnson called authorities on Sunday and said he would turn himself in.
A day earlier, the 22 year old Johnson was reportedly being questioned at the police station. At the time, he was accused of aggravated assault. While in custody, WLOX News has learned Johnson got the key to some handcuffs, freed himself, and ran off.
On Sunday, police chief Keith Davis said his investigators talked with Johnson. He reportedly told them he was at his mom's home in Moss Point, and would surrender to authorities.
No word yet if additional charges against Johnson will be filed.
