Four juveniles arrested for arson at school

MOSS POINT, MS (WLOX) -

Four juveniles were arrested Monday on charges of arson after a fire was reported at East Park Elementary School in Moss Point.

Moss Point Police Chief Keith Davis said when his officers arrived at the school, they saw several kids fleeing the scene. But with the help of the community, all four suspects were quickly captured.

Davis said this case is a great example of a successful investigation when the community gets involved.

"The patrol shift supervisor described this case as the most cooperation he has seen from the public in his four years of service here in Moss Point," Chief Davis said in a statement to the media.

Because the defendants are all juveniles, their names and ages are not being released.

The investigation is continuing. If you have any information that could help police, call the Moss Point Police Department at (228) 475-1711 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-787-5898. You can also visit the Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers website at www.mscoastcrimestoppers.com.
