Minor, Teel, Whitfield sentencing delayed until Monday

JACKSON, MS (WLOX) - Resentencing has been delayed yet again for attorney Paul Minor and two Harrison County judges.

Defense attorneys for Minor spent the entire day arguing that prosecutors have not proven his crimes deserve the harsh penalty sought by the government in his re-sentencing in a judicial bribery case.

US District Judge Henry Wingate has delayed the resentencing until Monday morning, giving defense attorneys time to submit to the court what they call "unfair arguments" made on behalf of the government.

Right now, Minor is serving an 11 year sentence.
