ST. MARTIN, MS (WLOX) -

A St. Martin man out on parole is back behind bars, accused of stealing from his dead neighbor.

Jackson County Sheriff Mike Byrd said his department started investigating this week after getting a call from another neighbor on Wagon Wheel Drive. That person said Antonio Deshaun London, 31, had removed four vehicles from a property where the owner recently passed away.

Investigators said London also burglarized the home, stealing three weapons and a television.

Sheriff Byrd said London scrapped the vehicles at Hickman's Scrap Yard, which is owned by London's girlfriend. The weapons were pawned at a D'Iberville pawn shop.

London is charged with four counts of felony taking of a motor vehicle, one count of burglary of a dwelling, and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He's being held at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center awaiting a preliminary hearing.

At the time of his arrest, London was out on probation and parole through Jackson County after being convicted of receiving stolen property charges.
