GAUTIER, MS (WLOX) - A Gautier church wants to be an inspiration for people who think their dreams goals are out of reach. WLOX stopped by True Vine Holiness Church a few hours before its dedication ceremony.
The pastor said when the church was founded three years ago,. the small congregation had nothing. By faith and prayers, members built a 5,000-square-foot building and are now looking to share their blessings with the community.
The pastor says the church is starting a computer literacy program for the community using equipment donated by Ingalls Shipbuilding.
"The society we live in is an innovative society," said Rev. Maurice Hudson. "Everything you do now you must know how to be on computers. You have to be computer literate. I asked my employer for help and they donated good computers. We're going to take that opportunity to teach younger kids and the middle aged kids be they fortunate or unfortunate. It's the whole spectrum and no one group of people."
True Vine Holiness Church also has a hospital ministry.
