South Mississippi weekend whereabouts June 3rd - 5th

SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) -

You will find good food, lots of music, rides and plenty of arts and crafts at the St. Paul's Seafood Fest. It is all weekend long, so head on over Friday beginning at 5p.m. or Saturday and Sunday beginning at noon.

Wind down your week with hula skirts, Hawaiian shirts and margaritas. The luau gets hopping at 7p.m. Friday at the Old Gulfport Site in Gulfport.

Get your health in check this weekend with a free women's health fair. Get screened for blood sugar, cholesterol, cancer and more. The event is Saturday at 9a.m. at the Pass Road Baptist Church in Gulfport.

Lab, golden retriever, chow whatever your favorite is come out and watch them strut their stuff at the American Kennel Club Dog Show. There will be over a hundred different breeds competing for top dog status. The pups will head down the runway Saturday and Sunday beginning at 9a.m.

Saddle up for St. Jude. Saturday there will be a horse show, you can watch or even try it for yourself. There will be several classes available. The fun begins at 9a.m. on Northrup Cuevas Road.

This June 4th celebrate Red, White and Blueberries. Blueberries season is in full bloom and Ocean Springs wants to stain the streets with blue. Come out and enjoy lots of fresh produce, antiques, crafts and blueberries any way you like. It's downtown from 10a.m. until 2p.m.

It's time again for a Biloxi tradition Blessing of the Fleet and the Fais Do-Do. Saturday is the festival where the Shrimp King and Queen will be crowned and Sunday is the blessing. Dress up your boats and yourselves and join in the boat parade or have fun from watching from afar.

Help ring in a new traveling musical Smithsonian exhibit. Enjoy the sounds of several great bands at the courtyard of Pass Christian City Hall. It's free and begins at 1p.m.
