D'Iberville Police investigating homicide of military member

D'IBERVILLE, MS (WLOX) - Troy Roberts the husband of a Philomena Roberts, the woman who died from a gun shot wound to the chest Wednesday morning, has been taken into custody for a concealed weapon violation. D'Iberville Police Chief Wayne Payne said Troy Roberts, was concealing a switch blade.

Troy Roberts has not been charged with his wife's murder.

D'Iberville police are calling Philomena Robert's death a homicide based on physical evidence.

Police said Philomena Roberts, was a member of the military. And the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) has been called in to assist on the case.

Officials said Philomena Roberts' husband called 911 around 5 a.m. When emergency crews arrived at the home on Forest Drive, they found her laying on the floor dead.
