MOSS POINT, MS (WLOX) - The U.S. Marshals have arrested a man who authorities say made repeated bomb threats to the Cone Travel Center on Highway 63 in Moss Point. Authorities said the threats came in January and April, and disrupted business for several hours.
The man arrested is a former employee of the travel center, Bryce O'Neal Moody, 20, of Vancleave.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Department identified Moody as their suspect earlier this month, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. But when detectives went to pick him up, they discovered that Moody had fled the area, and was living in Picayune.
Jackson County turned the warrant over to the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, which picked him up last Thursday. The next day, Bryce Moody was transferred to the Jackson County Adult Detention Center, where he currently awaits an initial appearance in County Court.
At the time of his arrest, Moody was out on bond for Possession of Controlled Substance/Cocaine. He was arrested on that charge back in January by the Jackson County Narcotics Task Force.
