JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

Jackson County sheriff's deputies have arrested two men for a Friday night assault that left the victim needing more than 20 staples in his head.

Deputies were sent to the corner of Jean Street and Masterson Avenue Friday after getting a call about a man being attacked with a crow bar. The attackers got away before deputies arrived, but the victim was able to identify the men.

Investigators have since arrested Earl Ray Justice, Sr, 34, of Vancleave, and Vertis Raymond, 27, from Biloxi. Both are charged with Aggravated Assault-Use of Deadly Weapon or other means likely to produce death or serious bodily harm.

Justice and Raymond are being held at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center pending an initial appearance in county court.
