Gulfport Police are investigating the death of a woman found floating in the water near Jones park late Friday night. Around 11:50 p.m. Friday night, the body of a black female was recovered from Moses Pier.
Police were called to Moses Pier after fishermen spotted a body floating in the water. Police have not identified the woman, and the cause of death is unknown.
Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove told WLOX News the victim is described as a 25-year-old black female, 5'2", 140lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.
She was wearing a white striped long sleeve hoodie, a print bra and blue jean shorts. She also had on black and light pink socks with multi-color hearts and peace signs and had on a silver watch with a black leather band.
There was a ring on her left middle finger, and she had piercings in each ear. She also had a cesarean scar.
Police checked coast wide and no one has been reported missing, so if you know anyone who may know of a missing woman fitting this description, please contact the Gulfport Police Department at 228-868-5985.
