Body Found Near Barrier Island

Authorities are investigating a possible connection between a stolen, burned out houseboat, and the body found near Horn Island this weekend. Harrison county coroner Gary Hargrove says the victim is a white male is 50 to 60 years of age, 6'2, 150 pounds with brownish-gray hair, a beard, and blue eyes. He has a four inch scar on his right forearm, six bottom teeth, and no upper teeth.

The autopsy shows he had part of one lung removed and an aortic aneurysm repair. Hargrove says the man's naked body was found on the north side of Horn Island about a mile from a burned out houseboat that was stolen from Gauter last week.

If you have any information that might help solve this case, call the Harrison county coroner's office or the sheriff's department.
