Long Beach man going to jail for child porn possession

LONG BEACH, MS (WLOX) -

A Long Beach man will have to spend the next five years in prison after pleading guilty to one charge of possession of child pornography.

Samuel Paul Fletcher, 43, appeared in Harrison County Circuit Court before Judge Lawrence Bourgeois, Jr. Monday. Judge Bourgeois sentenced Fletcher to 15 years in prison, but suspended 10. Fletcher was also given five years probation and must register as a sex offender. Additionally, he must pay a $2,000 fine and another $200 to the crime victim compensation fund.

This case was investigated by the Attorney General's Cyber Crime Unit and prosecuted by Special Assistant Attorneys General Brandon Ogburn and Tina Herron.
