WAVELAND, MS (WLOX) - A Gulfport woman who was paid to care for an elderly Waveland woman is accused of forging checks from the woman's account.
Trachere Louise Boyd, 38, is charged with ten counts of uttering forgery and exploitation of a vulnerable adult.
The forged checks were first caught by a Regions Bank employee, who brought it to the attention of Waveland Police investigators. Police said during her time as a paid sitter, Boyd wrote herself 15 checks totaling $8,210.
Boyd's bond was set at $20,000 by Judge P.J. Mauffray. An initial court date in Waveland Municipal Court will be on June 2.
