Police: Armed male on the run after robbing Waffle House

An armed black male is on the run right now after robbing a Waffle House restaurant in D'Iberville early Monday morning. Police tell us the suspect was wearing a white t-shirt over his face when he robbed the restaurant.

D'Iberville Police say the suspect entered the restaurant around 3:30am Monday with a hand gun, demanding money. He then smashed surveillance cameras and took off.

Police say the suspect is being described as a black male wearing black shorts and a black shirt. He is estimated to be around 6-feet tall with a heavy set build.

It's a national initiative to prevent bullying and improve student engagement. Fifth and sixth graders at Biloxi Upper Elementary are focusing on being helpful and nice to one another. Faculty members held a program to get students to participate.
