Saints say report that the New Orleans franchise could be moving to Toronto is False!

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WLOX) -  The New Orleans Saints NFL franchise at one time was considered as a prime contender to move to Los Angeles or San Antonio.  That's no longer the case.

Saints fans have been buying up tickets with sellout after sellout since the 2006 season and the Saints are signed, sealed and delivered to play inside the Superdome through 2025.

So what is this report that the Saints could be moving to Toronto?

Toronto councillor Doug Ford told that the NFL can no longer keep ignoring the Canadian city as a prime NFL site.

He told that once the NFL brings a team back to the Los Angeles market, Toronto should be the next city on the NFL priority list.

Ford was quoted by the blog as saying, "Two teams are kind of in play here, Jacksonville's number one, New Orleans the other.  So there's two teams."

New Orleans Saints spokesman Greg Bensel released a statement saying , "The New Orleans Saints are committed to the city of New Orleans."

Saints fans can still back and relax.  The team has been highly successful in the Crescent City.

New Orleans and Gulf Coast football fans are the best in the NFL and owner Tom Benson is happy in his hometown.

Doug Ford would love to see the Saints move to Toronto, but Ford's comments are only a pipe dream.
