Michelle was born and raised in Bay St. Louis. She attended Our Lady Academy and went on to The University of Wisconsin. After a few freezing semesters she realized she is definitely a southern girl. Michelle went on to graduate from The University of Mississippi with a degree in journalism and an emphasis in magazines.
The summer after graduation, Michelle interned in London at Morris Visitor Publications where she wrote numerous stories for the company's publications. Michelle then moved home to South Mississippi where she began freelance writing for a magazine.
While doing research for a story on a new television station, WLOX popped up. She never thought of going into the broadcast side of journalism, but after seeing an opening for a producer, she applied and was hired on in 2008. Michelle has produced every show at WLOX but has moved up the ranks and is now a reporter.
She began her on-air career with Weekend Whereabouts, telling South Mississippi about all the fun events happening on the weekend. You can see Michelle reporting five days a week, she enjoys being in the field meeting new people and learning new things everyday.
Michelle loves South Mississippi and working for the station she grew up watching. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys running, biking, sewing, reading, shopping and spending time with her family and friends.
