Police arrest alleged robbery victim

GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

UPDATE - The tables have turned, and Gulfport Police have now arrested the alleged victim of the robbery. Police said the victim claimed he was robbed at gunpoint by two black males.

Police now say the victim made up the story, and the alleged victim is now in custody.

Gulfport Police are searching for two armed robbery suspects. Gulfport's Public Information Officer St. McDaniel told WLOX, Gulfport Police are investigating the robbery of an individual in downtown Gulfport in the 2300 block of 24th Avenue.

According to police, two black males showed a gun to the victim and then took undisclosed amount of cash. No shots were fired.

There wasn't a description of the vehicle the suspects were driving, but police are following a lead on what the suspects were wearing.
