JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

Fourth District Congressman Steven Palazzo returns to Greene County Monday night to get an updated assessment on that area's tornado damage.  In a statement released today, Palazzo said his office "is prepared to expedite the process to bring federal assistance for public infrastructure and housing destroyed or damaged in the storm."

In Greene County, relief supplies are quickly arriving.  And the people at First Baptist Church of Leakesville are organizing those supplies, and getting ready to get them to tornado victims.

This Sunday, an ecumenical thanksgiving service will be held at Greene Park in downtown Leakesville.  The Easter Sunday gathering will give tornado victims a chance to take a break from their clean up efforts, and celebrate life.  The service begins at 7:30 a.m.
