STATE LINE, MS (WLOX) - Emergency officials in Greene County say a tornado has touched down in State Line.
Emergency Management Director Trent Robertson told WLOX News a small tornado came through town before noon, knocking out power to the entire city. Robertson said no injuries have been reported, but there is major damage to four homes and minor damage to three others. The storm knocked down trees and power lines.
Inmate firefighters from the South Mississippi Correctional Institute in Leakesville were called to help emergency officials in State Line.
Crews from Singing River Electric Power Association are working to restore power to 200 customers in the area.
