South Mississippi weekend whereabouts April 15th - 17th

SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) -

Seniors get your game faces on because it's time for a little fun and competition. The Senior Games get off to a running start with track events, tennis, golf, bowling and basketball. And the games don't stop there, there's plenty more to partake in Saturday. Stop by and register Friday at the Donal Snyder Center. For a schedule of events click here.

Thousands of motorcycles will be revving up and down the Coast all for the Make A Wish Foundation. Cruise over to bike fest to check out the motorcycles, enjoy live music and plenty of contests.

The crawdads will be boiling and the music will be rocking at the Coast Coliseum Crawfish Fest. The gates open Friday at 5, Saturday and Sunday at noon. Take a ride on a the ferris wheel or just sit back, eat up and enjoy Jamey Johnson, Easton Corbin and many other big name musicians.

Put your body to work to help advance the minds of Bay Waveland students. The Mind, Body & Spirit foundation is hosting a 5K and one mile fun walk Saturday beginning at 9. Participants will take off from Ulman Avenue in downtown Bay St. Louis.

The Easter Bunny will be hopping into town next week but before he does the children are invited out on a hunt. There will be an Easter Eggstravaganza Saturday at 1p.m. on the grounds of Woolmarket School and the hunt is on again Sunday at the Biloxi Town Green beginning at 1:30p.m.

Hands on Mississippi is engaging children in books. Saturday at Barnes and Noble our own Meggan Gray will be reading to children and their parents. And they'll get a copy of the book to take home.

Put on your grass skirts and Hawaiian shirts on for this year's Rockin' the Globe. St. Stanislaus is taking visitors on a dive into the Pacific with a luau. It's Saturday beginning at 7:30.

The smell of flowers will grace the IP Casino this weekend for the Walter Anderson Museum of Art Gala. This year contestants are designing floral arrangement that interprets Walter Anderson's work. Check it out Saturday between 6 and 10.
