Keesler Federal Credit Union prepared for possible government shutdown

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - Many military and government workers in South Mississippi use Keesler Federal Credit Union for their financial services. The credit union wants all its members to know it has a plan to help, in the event of a government shutdown.

  • Keesler Federal Credit Union will cover the April 15 payroll for active duty members who have direct deposit of pay at the credit union.
  • Civilian employees of the Department of Defense who are paid through DFAS and have their direct deposit of pay established with Keesler Federal will also receive advanced pay for the first scheduled payday after the government shutdown.
  • Some other assistance options include loan payment deferment, flexible payment arrangements, term modifications and fee waivers.

Affected members can contact the credit union at 1-888-533-7537, or your nearest branch, to discuss which options might be available to you. All branches will remain open normal business hours, including those on base (unless otherwise directed by base command).
