On the gaming commission website is a welcoming letter from Gregory.  In it, he writes, "During the rapid growth of the industry in Mississippi we have worked diligently to maintain the regulatory integrity of our gaming operations and the operators while protecting the best interests of the citizens of our state."

Gregory became the head regulator of Mississippi's casino industry in 2001.
