Messy chicken and easy chicken pot pie

Messy Chicken

A friend served me this many years ago and it has become a favorite in my home.  I hope your family will enjoy it as well.

2 cups unsweetened applesauce

2 cups ketchup

2  1/2 Tablespoons onion flakes

2  1/2 Tablespoons soy sauce

2 1/2 - 3 pounds chicken, cut into pieces

Spray the bottom of the baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.  Place chicken in the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking dish.  Mix together the remaining ingredients and pour over the chicken.  Bake at 400 degrees F for one hour.
