Alleged "fake" dentist arrested in Gulfport

GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - A Gulfport man is accused of working an as unlicensed dentist.

Attorney General Jim Hood said Donald S. King, 52, was taken into custody at his home on Quincy Avenue on Wednesday.

Gulfport officers and investigators with the Public Integrity Division of the Attorney General's Office made the arrest.

"We thank Gulfport Chief Weatherford and his officers for assisting us with this arrest, as well as the Mississippi Board of Dental Examiners and their investigators who are assisting us in the investigation," said Attorney General Hood.

Authorities say King was given a $1,000 bond.

The case will be prosecuted by Special Assistant Attorney General Jim Giddy.
