BILOXI, MS (WLOX) – Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour says he's been running very hard six days a week to see if he's up to a campaign for President of the United States.
Barbour was on "The 4 O'clock Show" on Monday afternoon. When he was asked if he would enter the republican presidential primary, the governor said, "I'm seriously thinking about it." And he expect to make that decision by the end of next month.
What Barbour says he must determine is "if I have the fire in my belly" to spend the next 10 years in the presidential hot seat. Barbour's comments came during a discussion about a budget compromise he's proposing to the Mississippi legislature.
