Waveland Police being sued for allegedly tasing a pregnant woman

WAVELAND, MS (WLOX) - A Waveland woman filed a lawsuit Wednesday against The City of Waveland, the police chief and four officers, who were part of the department in February. Dawn Melissa Daigre claims she was the victim of alleged brutality after being tased. She was four months pregnant at the time of the incident.

Diagre said police were called to her apartment in February on a domestic abuse complaint at her apartment.

The suit names the city, Police Chief Jimmy Varnell, former Sgt. Clay Necaise and three officers Henry Bouganim, Christopher Allen and Joshua Poyadou.

This is not the first lawsuit filed against Waveland police for the use of tasers. Al Showers will have more on this story later today.
