Search resumes for missing children

JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - The Jackson County Sheriff's Department has confirmed to WLOX that the search for two missing Alabama children will resume Wednesday morning about fifteen miles north of Vancleave.

No word yet whether authorities have received new information that is leading them to this area.

Mobile police say the children are dead, but how they died, where their bodies are, and who killed the three and five year old siblings is unknown.

Their father, John DeBlase, has told investigators he buried 3-year-old Chase in March in rural Mississippi and 5-year-old Natalie in June in Alabama woods.

DeBlase hasn't revealed much more and is still blaming the children's stepmother.

WLOX News will keep you updated on this search as we learn more throughout the day.
