Two men broke into the Bay St. Louis Police Department

BAY ST. LOUIS, MS (WLOX) - Two men were caught breaking into the Bay St. Louis Police Department.

According to Bay St. Louis Police Chief Mike DeNardo, 19-year-old Kyle Blaine Corr and 19-year-old Jeffery Chase Phillips were arrested by a team of officers who saw the two breaking into the sally port area of the police department.

DeNardo said, "Their intention was to steal marijuana that had been hidden in Corr's vehicle which had been impounded the day previously when Corr was arrested for burglary of a dwelling."

Corr has been charged with burglary, tampering with evidence and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell.

Phillips has been charged with burglary and additional charges could be made.

The two men are being held in the Hancock County Jail.
