Biloxi Attorney Found "Not Guilty"

A jury deliberated about five hours Friday before finding a Biloxi attorney and former softball coach "not guilty" of having sex with his 16-year-old baby-sitter.

42-year-old Scott Smith was charged with one count of statutory rape, and one count of sexual battery.

Prosecutors tried to prove that Smith had sexual intercourse with the girl between June of 2001 and February, 2002 at his home.However, Smith and his wife testified they have receipts to prove they weren't at home during the times of the alleged crimes.

Prosecutors had no comment after the verdict.
