GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - Agents with Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Department of Homeland Security teamed up to make a huge drug bust in the Mississippi Sound this week.

Officials said agents boarded the "Sarah Moira," an 80 foot sailboat, in the Sound just south of Bay St. Louis. Upon investigation, they discovered two wooden containers in the hold of the ship holding more than 4,500 pounds of marijuana.

The vessel was sailing from the Caribbean and was hoping to make land on the Gulf Coast. The three men on board the boat were arrested and brought to the Coast Guard Station in Gulfport.
