Still no arrests in Pascagoula murder case

PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) - PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) - Pascagoula police investigator Davy Davis contacted WLOX News today to let us know there are no updates in the murder of 28-year-old Amanda Nicole Callahan Griffin.

An autopsy showed that the Pascagoula woman was shot to death. Griffin's body was discovered Thanksgiving day in a wooded area on the East end of Nathan Hale Avenue in Pascagoula. A passerby saw the remains and called police.

Police are investigating the death as a homicide, but have not yet found the murder weapon.

Friday afternoon, Steve Phillips spoke with the director of Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen who said she knew the victim well. The director and several others said Griffin associated with a group of homeless people who live in the woods near where the body was found.

Detectives ask anyone with any information about the crime or victim to call the Pascagoula Police Department at (228) 938-6684.
