BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - A new program at Biloxi Regional Medical Center is helping expectant mothers prepare for their new bundle of joy.
Having a new baby can be overwhelming for parents, who are often overloaded with questions during and after the pregnancy. But now they can get accurate information from a reliable local source.
The internet based program is called CuddleBugs. Biloxi Regional's Marketing Representative, Lori Bickel, said Biloxi Regional has been delivering babies for 100 years, and they wanted to make it easier for parents.
"Anything we can do to make the process easier for our patients, and online seems to be the way a lot of people are going," Bickel said.
The CuddleBugs program offers accurate information to help parents from the beginning of the pregnancy through the first two months after birth. It also informs patients about childbirth classes and other programs available at the hospital.
Labor and Delivery Nurse Molly Sabbatini said knowledge is wealth, and can make the entire pregnancy process easier.
"The more information that's out there, the less anxiety there will be, and the more comfortable they're gonna be in the labor process, especially first time Moms," Sabbatini said.
