GULF OF MEXICO (WLOX) - GULF OF MEXICO, MS (WLOX) - Another three sea turtles will be released into the Gulf of Mexico today. It comes on the heels of the Institute for Marine Mammal Studies releasing three Kemp's Ridley sea turtles Saturday just south of Ship Island.
The turtles have satellite tracking devices and you can watch where they go on the IMMS website. All the turtles have their own rescue and rehabilitation story posted as well.
Steve Phillips is going out on today's turtle release. Later today on WLOX.com and WLOX News, he'll show you what IMMS is doing with the information it is gathering by charting the turtles.
