STARKVILLE, MS (AP) - Ryan Mallett threw for 306 yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winner to Knile Davis in double overtime, and No. 13 Arkansas beat No. 22 Mississippi State 38-31 on Saturday night.
The Bulldogs had a chance to tie the game in the second overtime, but Chris Relf was hit hard as he tried to complete a fourth-down pass.
On top of his touchdown reception, Davis rushed for 191 yards and two scores as Arkansas (9-2, 5-2 Southeastern Conference) won its fifth straight.
Mallett, the SEC's leading passer, had a rough night until hitting Jarius Wright for an 89-yard touchdown late in the third quarter to give the Razorbacks a 24-21 lead. It was the second-longest touchdown pass in school history.
Vick Ballard rushed for 156 yards and three touchdowns for Mississippi State (7-4, 3-4).
