Bridge leads Alcorn State over Alabama A&M 41-24

NORMAL, AL (AP) - Brandon Bridge passed for four touchdowns and ran for another as Alcorn State scored 28 first-half points and defeated Alabama A&M 42-24 on Saturday.

Three of Bridge's touchdown passes came in the first half, when the Braves (5-4, 4-3 SWAC) built a 28-10 lead. He also scored on a 15-yard run in the second quarter.

Bridge, who came in ranked 18th in total offense in the Football Championship Subdivision, completed 9 of 14 passes for 175 yards against the Bulldogs (2-7, 1-7).

Gabriel Nash carried 22 times for 75 yards for Alcorn State and Bridge 10 times for 50 yards. Kirderra Hall scored the Braves' other touchdown on a 65-yard interception return.

Tony Green gained 156 yards on 19 carries and scored two touchdowns for Alabama A&M. His first, a 6-yard run that tied the game 7-7, came after his 62-yard burst on the previous play.
