Hancock County man shot six times; suspect in custody

HANCOCK COUNTY, MS (WLOX) – Details are slowly emerging about a Sunday morning shooting in Hancock County.  Authorities say 28 year old PeShawn Robinson was shot six times.  Rescue teams quickly airlifted the victim to USA Medical Center in Mobile. He has been released from surgery and is listed in "critical but stable" condition.

Robinson was shot on Acker Street off Highway 43 in the Catahoula community. Sheriff's deputies tell us the triggerman was 23 year old Norris Demitrius Mueller.

According to sheriff's investigators,  Robinson was awakened this morning by a loud knock on the door.  When got up and opened the door, they say Mueller began shooting, hitting Robinson with six bullets.

Mueller is in custody.
