Man leads sheriff, deputies on chase before crashing bike

STONE COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - STONE COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - A chase that crossed two counties and led deputies into the woods of Harrison County ended with an arrest Friday afternoon.

Stone County Sheriff Mike Farmer was trying to pull over a motorcyclist for reckless driving, when the man took off.

The suspect, identified as 23-year-old Donnie Green, led deputies on a chase into Harrison County before finally crashing his bike. He tried to get away by running into the woods, but a Harrison County canine unit tracked him down near Turan Road.

Sheriff Farmer said Green was returned to Stone County where he's charged with Reckless Driving, Failure to Yield to Blue Lights, Driving with a Suspended License, and No Proof of Insurance.
