GAUTIER, MS (WLOX) -

GAUTIER, MS (WLOX) - Singing River Elementary has made it to the final round in a national competition to win a new playground, but the students need your votes to win.

The Imagination Playground in a Box system is valued at $25,000, was designed by NY architect David Rockwell. It offers a changing array of elements that allow children to constantly build and re-build their play space.

The Imagination Playground in a Box contest is hosted by Parents magazine, KaBOOM!, the nonprofit organization on a mission to save play, and supported by Foresters™, a life insurance provider that champions the well-being of families.

The contest challenged parents across North America to show support for their communities and nominate a local park, community space or playground. Communities rallied to demonstrate their level of support by becoming "fans" of their location on an online playground map, the KaBOOM! Playspace Finder.

Singing River Elementary has made it into the top ten, but they still have to secure the top prize. That's where you come in. Just visit http://playspacefinder.kaboom.org/voting/elections/parents to cast your vote from now until Friday October 15. You can vote once a every day, and the three projects with the most votes win.
