Michael Grimm, Martina McBride to perform Concert for the Coast

HANCOCK COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

HANCOCK COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Hancock County's America's Got Talent winner Michael Grimm is teaming up with country music star Martina McBride for a special concert weekend to promote tourism on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The Hancock County concert weekend will be held Friday, November 19th and Saturday November 20th at the Hancock County Multi-Purpose Center.

Martina McBride is a four-time CMA Female Vocalist of the year with more than 18 million in album sales and 22 Top 10 singles, six of which hit top of the charts. Some of her biggest hits include "Concrete Angel," "Where Would You Be," "and Independence Day."

Michael Grimm will perform Friday night and Martina McBride on Saturday night. Both shows start at 7:00 p.m. with opening musical acts.

Louisiana's rising sensation Marc Broussard will also perform on Saturday.

The organizers are also hoping to add a huge welcome home celebration for Michael Grimm as he returns home following his nationwide tour for NBC's concert appearances.

General admission tickets are $14.95 for each night or $20 for both nights; $100 VIP seating each night is also available. Tickets go on sale on Thursday, October 7th at 10:00am CDT at ticketmaster.com and at Ticketmaster locations including major video stores. To charge tickets by phone, call 1-800-745-3000.

Gates open at 5:00p.m. and parking is free. Overnight guests staying in participating Hancock County hotels on concert nights will receive a free pair of tickets.

"Tickets are expected to sell out quickly, so you want to buy your tickets early,'" said Beth Carriere, executive director of the Hancock County Tourism Development Bureau. "We're pleased to be able to bring these entertainers together for an unforgettable concert weekend with the financial assistance of BP and other sponsors, said Carriere.

The Hancock County Multi-Purpose Center is located at 4184 Kiln-Delisle Road - Off I-10 exits 13 or 20 north.
