BAY ST. LOUIS, MS (WLOX) - BAY ST. LOUIS, MS (WLOX) - The publishers of Coastal Living magazine have named Bay St. Louis as one of the featured "Dream Towns" in this month's issue.
In an article entitled "Beach Town Comeback," the editors credit the community for rallying to rebuild and regaining its artsy, quirky independence.
"After canvassing all coasts for towns with seaside charm, a lively beach culture, and good housing, these are our top spots for planning quick trips or finding a new place to live," said the magazine's editors.
Bay St. Louis is one of ten listed coastal towns featured with photography highlighting the different natural and architectural cultures each town offers. The other towns were in California, Florida, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Delaware, and New York.
"Bay St. Louis is the only town representing the Gulf Coast and we're very proud of that,'" said Beth Carriere, executive director of the Hancock County Tourism Development Bureau. "Visitors will also find that we have other unique towns here on Mississippi's west Coast."
