BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - Thursday night, the Louisiana Superdome will be rocking when the New Orleans Saints kick off the 2010 football season.
Last season had a storybook finish when the Saints won the Super Bowl and ecstasy ruled throughout the Who Dat Nation. Thursday night's marquee match up is a repeat of last year's NFC championship game.
Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings come into the Dome for what promises to be one of the best games of the season.
"I think it's going to be louder than ever and as exciting as it's ever been," said Matt Helms.
Helms owns Gulf Coast Cards and Sports Memorabilia in Edgewater Mall. During the off season, many of the Saints' biggest stars came into his shop for autograph sessions. This week, fans are coming in and stocking up on everything with a Saints logo on it.
Thursday night's game will also put number 4, Brett Favre, in the spotlight. Helms said Favre jerseys are also selling well.
"Being from the Kiln, there's always interest in whatever jersey he's wearing."
Before kick off Thursday night, the Saints will unfurl the Super Bowl Championship banner and put it on the Superdome ceiling. Chances are you'll hear the crowd roar all the way over to the Mississippi Coast.
